DIVISION M - DOMESTIC
AND FANCY WORK
(Rules and Regulations)
1. All articles exhibited in this Department must be the handiwork of and owned by the exhibitor.
2. Not more than one entry will be permitted in any lot by any one exhibitor.
3. Judges will not award premiums on articles which are not considered worthy of placing and will penalize articles showing a soiled or worn condition.
4. Entries must be made in accordance with the premium List Classification. No premiums will be paid on articles not listed herein.
5. Do not mount or pin articles in folded condition.
6. All articles exhibited must be finished work and have been completed within one year preceding this Fair, except as otherwise provided.
7. The terms "Not specified" or "Any other not listed" are only for entries where there are no regular lots listed.
8. No entry is required for lots entitled "Sweepstakes," as only First Prize articles of the same kind in preceding lots are eligible to compete.
9. Lace means: crocheted, knitted, tatted, or any lace made by hand.
10. A Sweepstakes prize of $3.50 will be awarded to the best quilt for Division M, Class 3 or Division P, Class 2 to be sent to the State Fair.
NOTE: No entry for crazy quilts or yo-yo quilts will be awarded the sweepstakes prize as they will not be accepted at the State Fair. They are eligible for prizes at the County Fair.
11. The best rug from Division M, Class 7, or Division P, Class 1, will be awarded a $3.50 sweepstakes prize and will also be sent to the State Fair.
12. Persons receiving sweepstakes in either quilts or rugs will be required to attach a statement from the County Fair Secretary.
